Tylan and Kyndal ran today at Regionals for Cross Country. Great job to Patoka’s own, Kyndal, for moving on to sectionals!! She placed 8th overall! We are so proud!



Thanks to Mrs. Ellis, Mrs. Mills and Ms. Wilder for setting up and creating the Accelerated Reader store this Friday. Our students are given points based on the books they read and can trade those points in for items in the AR store each quarter.




Yesterday was a surprise Judy Moody Day in Mrs. Frederick's class. The kids had been reading Judy Moody books and came in yesterday to find the entire classroom had been decorated in purple! They got cereal, mood rings and a lot of special treats. Everyone had a really great time.

She enjoys working out, hanging out with friends, and playing Minecraft. Jay works at McDonald's and plans to buy a car, move out, and find a full time job after graduation. Her favorite memory while attending OHS is when she was playing volleyball and Skyler spiked the ball into the fire alarm, setting off the alarm and getting the whole school out of class.

Wednesday, October 19 Odin FFA attended the Section 21 FFA Job Interview and Ag Ed CDEs at Carlyle High School.
Congratulations to the Job Interview team for placing 5th in the Varsity division. Team members included Hailey Knox - 9th Place Individual and Tyler Bivens - 11th Place Individual.
Special thank you to Jalynn Moore, Jacob Schroeder, and Jacey Wilkins for participating as students as the Ag Ed CDE competitors taught their lessons.




We had two students that were in the 25 point club for Accelerated Reader this quarter. They were Henry Thoms (4th) and Abbie Smith (3rd). They got some fall themed crafts, Dairy Queen chicken strips, a sundae a six pack of their favorite soda as well as some candy. We are proud of you two, keep it up!

Odin Public School will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week starting October 24th- October 28. These fun dress up days are for everyone in the school and everyone will be getting a red bracelet to wear throughout the week that states "Drugs are not for me!"
Friday October 28, 2022 is Costume day/ Theme day. PreK-5th grade can only wear their costumes in the afternoon. Please do not send your child(ren) in their costume to school. They may bring with them to change into later. The only students who should be wearing costumes to school are Seniors. 6th grade through 11th grade will have special themes for their designated grade that they may wear to school.

REMINDER: Today is our Wednesday 2:15 dismissal day. Pre-k will be dismissed at 1:45. K-12 will be dismissed at 2:15.

On Saturday, October 15, Hailey Knox, Jacey Wilkins, and Mr. Capps volunteered at the Special Needs Prom hosted by Central Christian Church in Mt. Vernon. We served food to guests and their dates, cut a groove on the dance floor, and encouraged and hyped up all guests the whole night! #livingtoserve
