Group assignments have been sent out to all parents/guardians of students who registered for school. Students who did not register, have NOT been placed in groups. If you did not receive a message regarding your student’s group assignment, please contact the school as soon as possible. This is a tentative plan and this schedule is subject to change as new guidelines are released from the state. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work toward a great school year.

Thank you to everyone who has made the first two days of registration successful. Today is our final day of registration. Students with the last names S-Z, or if you have not made it in, please do so between 1pm-6pm. Parents are reminded that if possible, they should attend registration WITHOUT students. Also, per ISBE and IDPH guidelines, all individuals who enter the school building are required to wear a mask or face covering. All students in the Odin School District will need to register regardless of previous enrollment. It is very important that EVERY family attend registration so that your family can be given their individual instructions for starting the school year.

50 Ways to Beat COVID. You can sing it to the tune of the old Paul Simon hit. If you don’t know the song, this would be a great opportunity to ask your parents or grandparents to introduce you to it! 🎶🎶

The Regal Eagle Award for July goes to one of my favorites people, Ashley Ambuehl. Ashley graduated from Odin in 2007. Since then she has accomplished many things to be proud of. She attended Kaskaskia and from there moved on to Murray State. Following college she became a Peace Corps volunteer and is currently a helicopter pilot for the United States Navy. Ashely has set a remarkable example for all of us Eagles and her reach has extended far beyond the boundaries of our nest. Thank you Ashley for all you have done and will do, we love you and stay safe. Remember you can email nominations for the Regal Eagle Award to RegalEagle@odinpublicschools.org

While we do not know when registration will be or what it will look like just yet, we wanted to give you a head start on completing the mandated health requirements required by the state of Illinois. If your student requires medication to be administered during the school day, a new medication consent form must be signed by a physician and on file with the school for the current school year. Printable forms are available on our website at https://www.odinpublicschools.org/o/opsd/browse/93721
