To Seniors:
Just drove through the village. Our school, the Fire Department, and the park lights are all lit up tonight to honor our Seniors at Odin High School. This is not the way any of us anticipated this year to end. It’s extremely heartbreaking and unfortunate!
However, many started school here in PreK, others became part of our school community, our family, later. Regardless, you Seniors have so many memories of school. You’re missing 2 two months of a grand total of 12 or more years. And yes, these were important months. Trips, awards, dinners, and yes, graduation were all scheduled in May.
Hang on to the memories that you have made at OHS. Think about the meaningful relationships that you’ve made with your classmates and staff. No matter where your path takes you in your life, always know that you’re an EAGLE!
Lastly, this school and this community is here for you and love you very much!
Mr. Alli
Your Principal

During the governor's daily coronavirus press briefing today, April 17, 2020, Governor J.B. Pritzker announced that all Illinois schools will remain closed for the rest of the school year. Odin School District’s Remote Learning Plan will remain in effect, and meals will continue to be distributed on meal distribution days.
Governor Pritzker has indicated that a decision is coming on whether the state’s stay at home order will be extended past April 30. Once more information is released, administration will be discussing plans for end of the year ceremonies.

Reminder: Today is a food distribution day! If you are interested in picking up a meal pack, they will be available at Odin School from 11am-12pm today. Each pack will contain 4 breakfasts and 4 lunches.

Sadly with the current Social Distancing order in place we have to cancel Prom. Once we hear what the end of the year will look like, we will work on a plan. Those involved in Prom, you will be the first to know what that is. So stay tuned!

These are wild times. For many of us, all we can think about is COVID-19. It is affecting almost every part of our daily lives. Someday, though, this will all be a memory – something that happened in the past that we all got through, together.
Making a time capsule is a fun activity and a great way to preserve memories. When you open it years later, it’s like looking at photo albums, going though old yearbooks, or opening a box of childhood mementos.
Please see our COVID-19 Resource Page for the full PDF version of this Printable COVID-19 Time Capsule!

This months Regal Eagle award goes to John and Barb Spears. Two of nicest people in town. During baseball and softball season, they usually aren’t too far away from Odin Park. They took care of the park for several years. If you see them out and about when some form of normalcy resumes I will guarantee you they will greet you with a smile. Thank you both for being the outstanding people you are and wonderful examples of what Eagles in the village should be like. Remember you can email your nominations to RegalEagle@odinpublicschools.org

The Easter Bunny will be up at the school this Saturday from 1-3 p.m. hoping to see all Odin students and their families. Hop in the car with your family so you don't miss out!
