Yesterday Fort Massac turned into the largest classroom in the state of Illinois for day 1 of Encampment Days. We took our junior high students down to see the fort and they had a blast!
The highschool art class spent the day in Shawnee National Forest putting their photography skills to the test! Fun was had by all!

Last Friday we engaged in a reunification activity where we simulated an event where we had to transfer students from the school to another location. The staff was patient and helpful as we learned exactly what this entailed. Local law enforcement as well as a representative from the Regional Office of Education was present as we learned what to do in case we have to move students to a safe location.
