Monday, November 8, 8th Grade, Freshman, and Sophomore FFA members had the opportunity to listen and learn from Illinois FFA State Vice President, Jaton Shaffer; Section 21 FFA President, Derek Sample; Section 21 FFA Vice President, Halle Klockenga; and Section 21 FFA Secretary, Tori Shaw during the Illinois FFA Chapter Visits. Students leaned about teamwork and their own core values.
Congratulations to these teachers for receiving the 2021 Marion County Ag in the Classroom Grant! This grant allows our teachers to teach students about agriculture through a variety of projects. Students who are on remote learning due to contact tracing are to check in for attendance through TeacherEase by 8:30am. Remote students who are in grades 5-12 should be joining Google Meets at the beginning of each class period. If your student needs supplies (Chromebook, books, hotspot, etc), please contact the school as soon as possible to make arrangements to pick these items up.

Order forms are also available in the main lobby of the school. Orders are due by November 10th-no later!

Huge shoutout to high school student Violet Potter and her family for their incredibly gracious donation to our FCS classroom. Congratulations to these FFA members for placing 4th at the Section 21 JV Job Interview LDE on October 20 at Carlyle High School. Congratulations to Hailey Knox for placing 5th individual overall and Tyler Bivens for placing 9th individual overall. Members prepared a cover letter and resume, and then went through an interview process and a follow up thank you letter.
