
We had more students than any other quarter join the 25 point club for Accelerated Reader this time, so they got a special treat. Mrs. Ellis planned to have DQ brought in! Congrats students and keep it up!

- JV Extemporaneous: Hailey Knox

Start stretching now, Odin community members! The Senior class is hosting the 2nd Annual Sand Volleyball Tournament! Start putting your teams together now! We are still pending a date, but we are shooting for April 10! Teams are $10 per player with a 5 player minimum. Be on the lookout for more information coming Monday. We hope to see you there!

Book Fair is March 28 - April 1st. This year the theme is Reading Brings Us Together. Monday is preview day for Pre K through 6th grade. Seventh and Eighth will preview on Tuesday. Thursday, March 31st is the Grandparents’ Lunch. Reservation slips have been sent home. Thursday, March 31st the Book Fair will be open from 4:00 to 7:30 for families and community members to shop. All shopping needs to be completed by 1:00 on Friday. This is what you get when your principal was a history teacher! Seniors took a trip to Alton today to see a part of the underground railroad. Thanks to Mr. Capps for taking them! Also thanks to Mr. Robinson for the tour. The students will be later getting back today.

Congrats to Carter Dagg for being the runner up in the Marion County Spelling bee last night! As a 5th grader, this is quite an accomplishment! Amazing work Carter, we are very proud of you.





As part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), KSED must complete an annual Needs Assessment survey that allows them to prioritize the needs of students with disabilities by examining overall services and professional development needed. This is a reminder that grades 3-8 have IAR assessments this week from Monday- Friday. We are also having the SAT on Wednesday the 23rd for juniors. Please make sure students are well-rested and ready to test!

Today, four 8th grade FFA members competed at the Lake Land Livestock Judging Contest. Congratulations to this team for placing 15th Overall and 10th in Cattle! Team members consisted of Easton Johnson, Chloe Bechdoldt, Joshlynn Budds, and Mason Corry. Members judged nine classes of beef cattle, hogs, sheep, and goats, and answered questions about the classes.
Despite the rain and cold weather, they had a great time learning new skills and making great memories.
