3rd and 4th graders Madelyn Arnold, Teigan Burdine, Claire Haley, and Gabby McElroy participated in the Brain Games competition at Rend Lake College yesterday!

We are so proud of Raiden for showing Collaboration. Raiden showed collaboration while working with another student to help them understand a challenging math concept. Raiden has mastered all of his multiplication and division facts and had the opportunity to play some math games. He chose to help a fellow student with a challenging math concept so that they could play some math games together at a later time.

Art Club scheduled for Monday February 23rd is cancelled. Many of our members have a scholar bowl match-- Let's go support our team at Iuka!

For those interested in playing HS Baseball this Spring, there will be a mandatory meeting at 5pm on Sunday, February 23rd at Odin School. - Coach Walker

Next week is Read Across America Week, we are excited to encourage our students to read with a theme for each day.

We are so proud of Evelyn for showing Collaboration. Evelyn spent her free time in the morning working with a small group of students who needed to get caught up on an activity. She usually likes to spend the time reading a book but on this day felt it was more important to help her classmates.

We are so proud of Braeden for showing Collaboration. At recess after lunch, Braeden was playing a game when another student asked for his help. He immediately stopped what he was doing and went to help the other student. It was unprompted by an adult and was nice to see.

We are so proud of Gabby for showing Collaboration. Gabby showed collaboration by working with other students in a small group to help them understand the work. She had already completed the work and had the choice of free time but she wanted to help her classmates instead.

We are so proud of Rylenn for showing Collaboration. Rylenn used her free time to help another student get caught up on some classwork after that student had missed a few days of school.

We are so proud of Makenna for showing Collaboration. Makenna showed collaboration by helping a few other classmates with a morning activity. She was one of the first to choose a new morning activity and she chose one that she knew some other students really wanted to try and had them join her so they could all enjoy the activity together.

We are so proud of Ainsley for showing Collaboration. She worked together with another student to use coins to build and count different money combinations.

Junior High Track Open practice begins this week. February practices will be Tuesday and Thursdays 3:30-4:30pm. 5th Grade through 8th Grade students are eligible to participate. Thank you, Coach Kuper

We are so proud of Akyah for showing Collaboration. Akyah quickly finished an assignment in math and instead of having free time to herself she chose to collaborate with her peers to help them gain a better understanding of the material.

We are so proud of Jazzmine for showing Collaboration! Jazzmine shows collaboration by actively listening to peers ideas and building upon those ideas.

Odin Student Council will be hosting a Blood Drive on March 27 from 10:00AM-2:00PM in the little gym at Odin Public School. Give in March for a $15 gift card by email and successful donations get A1C testing! Rcblood.org/March. Every donation given goes towards a scholarship for one of our Seniors on Student Council!
