Parents and students: I want to clarify what Fridays will be used for during our Hybrid and/or Remote Learning days. These are days set aside for teacher planning, for students who need extra help and need to communicate with their teachers, and work on assignments or projects that are due for the next week. Thank you, Mr. Alli

Tips for Success
A new month means a new Regal Eagle award recipient. This award was started to highlight residents and graduates from my favorite school, in my favorite village. The award this month goes to Patrick Budds. Patrick graduated from Odin in 1992. He has chosen a career in law enforcement and has been making a difference ever since. Officer Budds was assigned to a DEA task force for 11 years and was recently presented with an award from the US Department of Justice for the work he did there. He is currently an officer in O’fallon Missouri where he has been proudly representing law enforcement while setting an exemplary standard of being a good person we should all strive to achieve. Thank you Officer Budds, we are proud of you in the village and proud to call you not just an Eagle- but a Regal Eagle.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and TeacherEase has assured us that they are working to make the check in through the app an option again.

The Illinois Department of Health provided updated guidance on Thursday, August 20, describing when a student or staff member should be excluded from school. This guidance has been attached for your convenience. In this guidance, it describes how long the student or staff member must be quarantined and the process to return to school. It is important that you look through this chart to fully understand how students and staff must be quarantined in certain situations. Please note that if your student is experiencing ONE of the listed symptoms, they must be excluded from school. At this time, we are requesting students and staff who are forced to quarantine, but healthy enough to engage in the classroom remotely, continue to work remotely similar to our remote learning for all plan. Odin Public School District will continue to closely monitor quarantined individual numbers as well as local COVID-19 case numbers to determine what phase of our return to school plan we will move to in the future. As we work to reach our "new normal," the safety and health of students, staff and families is the top priority for everyone at Odin Public School District. https://www.isbe.net/Documents/IDPH-COVID19-Exclusion-Decison-Tree.pdf
