Senior parents, mark your calendars for Thursday, November 3rd at 6:00 pm!
What is the FAFSA?
FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This application helps students determine how much financial assistance they will receive if they attend a college, university, or trade school. In an attempt to increase the number of students who attend college, the state has mandated schools to ensure ALL students fill out the FAFSA, even if they don't intend to attend school at this moment.
What is needed to fill out the FAFSA?
- Social Security Number
- Parent federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned
- Parents need to create their own FSA ID to sign the student's application
Kaskaskia College and ISAC will be here to help walk us through this process. Students will already have an FSA ID created before this night to help move things along, so please create yours as a parent before as well.
Any questions you may have about this event or FAFSA, please don't hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Haarmann via email at thaarmann@odinpublicschools.org or phone at 618-740-4183. We look forward to seeing you all!
